The two active substances enter plant tissues through the xylem and phloem, where they act as inhibitors of the enzyme acetolactate synthetase (ALS). ALS is a catalyst for the biosynthesis of essential amino acids: valine, leucine and isoleucine. Inhibition of the formation of ALS by imidazolines blocks the formation of these essential amino acids and protein synthesis, which leads to the complete death of weeds. Spectrum of action: Dicotyledonous species: ragweed (species), field birch, sunflower seed, birch mustard, field mustard, common buckwheat, common pikulnik, medium star, Theophrastus's rope, white marjoram, spurge (species), black sedge, tenacious marigold, wild radish, chamomile (species), field yarrow, schirytsia (species), medicinal sedge. Cereal species: allspice (species), bristlegrass (species), millet (species). Maximum multiplicity of treatment: Working solution consumption rate: 200-300 l/ha. Features of use: The drug should be used when weeds are in active growth. A high biological effect is achieved when it is applied in the initial phases of weed development (cotyledons - 2 leaves), which in most cases coincides with the phase of crop development - 4 true leaves. Treatment should be carried out only with freshly prepared working solution of the drug at an air temperature not higher than 25 °C and a wind speed not exceeding 5 m/s. Spraying plants wet from dew and precipitation reduces the effectiveness of the herbicide. In some cases, when using the herbicide under stressful conditions for plant development, its effectiveness against weeds may decrease. Weed growth when using the drug stops a few hours after treatment, but visual signs of the herbicide may not appear. Complete death occurs after 3-6 weeks. In some cases, after using the drug, a decrease in height and a change in the color of the sunflower may occur. If the plants are under the influence of stress factors (low temperatures, drought, waterlogging), this effect may be stronger. However, normal growth and appearance are restored after 1-2 weeks without reducing yield. It is not advisable to carry out treatment when there is a risk of night frost, as well as on diseased and weakened crops.
